Information we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, your message, and how you heard about us.
• Phone calls and emails: your contact details and anything you choose to tell us.
• Client services: when we provide bookkeeping, payroll or transcription services, we process personal information on behalf of our clients (for example, employee details needed to run payroll). We do this according to our agreement with the client and POPIA.

We do not ask for special personal information (such as health or religious information) through this website.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry.
• To provide, manage and invoice our services.
• To meet our legal obligations, for example under tax and employment laws.

We will not use your details for marketing unless you have agreed to it, and we do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information when needed to run our business or when the law requires it, for example with our website hosting and email providers, or with authorities such as SARS where we are legally obliged to. These providers may only use the information to provide their service to us.

Information stored outside South Africa

Some of the service providers we use, such as Google for the map on our Contact page and the spam protection on our forms, may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are subject to adequate data protection, as POPIA requires.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires (for example, tax and employment record-keeping rules). Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted when they are no longer needed.

How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep personal information safe, including a secure (HTTPS) website and limiting access to the people who need it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
• ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
• object to us processing your information, or withdraw your consent;
• complain to the Information Regulator.

This website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work. If you log in to manage the website, WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in. The map on our Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Your browser also remembers that you have dismissed our cookie notice, so it is not shown again. Our contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam, and Google may set its own cookies for this.
